PRE CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

2006 CUMU Conference Golf Tournament, The Biltmore Hotel Golf Course. -
Like the hotel itself, the Biltmore Golf Course is built on tradition. The lushly landscaped, 6,700-yard, 18-hole, par-71 course was built in 1925 and designed by Donald Ross, America’s foremost golf-course architect.

The Biltmore launched its first major tournament, the Miami-Biltmore-Coral Gables Open, in 1930, attracting top golfers including National Open champion Bill Burke, Walter Hagen, Bill Mehlhorn and Gene Sarazen. The glamorous course was a celebrity magnet: in 1930, New York Governor Al Smith squared off against baseball legend Babe Ruth.

All reservations to participate on these conference activities must be made with the Concierge at The Biltmore Hotel.
